Security is top of mind for South African homeowners. We want to keep our families safe and secure, without losing the quality of life that our beautiful country affords us.
Johannesburg residents often have to choose between the security of community living, and the space and privacy found in free-standing homes.
Plantation Place includes the best of both. Each attractively-appointed duplex has its own garden and courtyard. The secure, central location is very close to the N1 highway.
The developers contacted Teva Windows to supply all windows and glass doors. Teva’s uPVC frames are known for their strength and durability. Further, it is near impossible to remove the glass from these frames, while the sliding doors cannot be lifted from their tracks.
Some prospective buyers were concerned about the noise of highway traffic on the northern side of the development. Teva suggested using Laminated Safety Glass to complement their sound-dampening frames. This glass assists in sound-proofing and increases security. Once installed, potential homeowners were taken into the units. The open sliding doors were closed. They heard the highway noise disappear for themselves and they couldn’t wait to buy.
Teva assisted the developers in finding a neat solution for burglar bars on opening windows, that would not negatively impact on the visual design of the residence.
Using the Teva system, developers were able to provide sound and heat insulation while increasing security. Families have now moved in and are enjoying the comfort and peace of mind.
